Level 7 - Receive without giving, give without receiving. Old souls are philosophically oriented and strive to see the bigger picture. Their motto is live and let live. They are generally compassionate and kind but should guard against a streak of arrogance. They believe there is more to life than money and the relentless pursuit of material possessions. Old souls are often considered eccentrics when compared to the rest of society.
With so many lifetimes under their belt, they possess many gifts and talents. They can seem relaxed and unassuming, even in a crisis. The old soul is mostly detached from the drama of life and prefers to do their own thing. Other Famous Old Souls: Old Soul in Love.
To begin, let us state up front that all souls have the capacity to love. Love is not a precious commodity that's only available to the highest bidder or someone with the secret password. Love is as free as the air you breathe and is not on a higher pedestal that's beyond the reach of souls with less life experience. Be cautious of idealistic notions that say otherwise. The old soul thus experiences love through a wide-angle lens and is more concerned with love that encompasses the bigger picture, rather than love that's exclusively focused on the finer details, such as Mature soul relationships that intensely bridge the inner worlds of two people.
For the old soul, love is less conditional because it is less dependent on a single one-to-one connection. That is not to say old soul relationships are not monogamous. They are for the most part and can be long lasting. Old soul love is more open and freely shared although not necessarily in a sexual way , and endows the soul with the capacity to love people deeply without emotional conditions. This is a natural state of love, an unfettered expression possible in many souls but rarely explored.
The ability for old souls to love so freely, however, often draws suspicion from others regarding the purity of their motives. Depression and the old soul are, in fact, frequent bedfellows. This creates melancholy in some old souls, who find their hearts aching for these past connections. For that reason, old souls may seem haunted by memories of love that cannot be associated with anything real in the current lifetime. To the old soul, it feels like a longing that gnaws at the stomach and aches for things long past and frustratingly unreachable.
After all, a true love shared between another is never lost, only stored away, like seasonal clothing. As biblical scriptures once noted, for everything there is a season. And the old soul has known many seasons. For the old soul, finding love has evolved beyond the glamorized imagery often depicted in romance novels and on magazine covers. Old souls are not as concerned with the thrill of romance and more satisfied with comfortable, less dramatic relationships that nurture and lend support to the daily demands of life.
This doesn't mean the relationships are strictly utilitarian and without passion. The old soul often seeks what is most comfortable and true. This may present certain obstacles when so many souls once close to the old soul have cycled off and concluded their reincarnations on the planet. The old soul's tribe, its pool of viable candidates, so to speak, has been depleted. Relationships of a romantic nature are not always what the old soul seeks. This is not true for every old soul, of course, but the old soul that finds themselves sitting on the fence when it comes to relationships should keep this in mind.
At the end of a full life comes the time of old age. Much that can be said about an Old soul is what would be said about an old person. Usually old people have traveled to many places and done many things. They are a storehouse of wisdom and understanding because of this range of experience. But in spite of their competence they do not usually accomplish very much. Because of the age of the body, there is often a tiredness about them that prevents much expenditure of effort.
They are quieter than younger people, have a more relaxed lifestyle, and are more subdued in their manner of expression. They have mellowed out considerably compared to their younger days. The energy and excitement of youth is mostly gone. It is very similar to Old souls. They have access through the subconscious to a great wealth of experience. Often they become teachers to pass this knowledge and wisdom on, but to a limited number of students — there is little desire or effort to release their understanding into the world in general.
In fact, in the last Levels, some Old souls can be so world-weary that they are ready to just lay down and die. Like a person in the last decade of life, the Old soul is "winding down" so to speak, or "in retirement", preparing for death, settling the estate, and tying up loose ends. In terms of the theory of reincarnation, the Old soul is clearing the way for the final break with the physical plane. Not unlike the Infant soul, but for different reasons, it is rare for an Old soul to make a great contribution to society or culture.
The reason for this is that they have largely given up on the world. It just does not seem worth the trouble to spend a lot of energy for things that do not last. Material things just decay anyway, so why invest in that? The other problem is that they are advanced in their perceptions to such an extent that the genius of their contributions would go unappreciated by the great majority of people, the Establishment. Old souls know this and do not even try to get them to see it. Younger souls, who largely control the course of society, cannot understand Old souls and regard them and their notions as eccentric.
Old souls are perceived to be "far out", or "cranks", if they do make themselves noticed.
Dedicated to your stories and ideas.
Younger souls are often too busy to stop and really listen to the wisdom of Old souls anyway. For these reasons, Old souls are rarely the movers and shakers of culture. As it is with many young people and old people, the situation is that the younger are out doing their thing and do not have time to listen to the old folks anyway. So the old folks do not even try to communicate.

Old souls often have difficulty with self-esteem because their perceptions and values are not shared by the rest of society. In their social lives, Old souls are often loners. They go their own way, caring little for societal norms. They are a rare breed, comprising about eleven percent of the population. On the fringes of society, they obey the rules of their culture only as required to get by without causing trouble. They have very little attachment to encounters of a casual nature, such as coworkers and neighbors.
Even their sense of connection to blood relatives is not very strong. They generally shun heavy entanglements with other people. When they do get involved, it is because there is a strong spiritual bond. By this is meant that either there is a karmic attachment past-life association , or what Michael calls an "agreement" — a contract made between lifetimes to conduct a relationship.
A specific case mentioned by Michael is that Old souls seek to be united with the other fragments of their Entity. When Old souls do seek companionship, they often do so in metaphysical groups — astrology and tarot classes, psychic endeavors, and so on. Here they will be most likely to meet those with whom they have spiritual connections. They seek out the few others who are like themselves and form networks of people with similar interests. This is not usually for the purpose of business advancements like Young souls, or for psychological comfort like Mature souls, but just to share being with other Old souls.
When Old souls "party", they usually sit around and just talk. In dating situations, they do not need to go anywhere like to a movie or do anything like play games as a means to developing social intimacy. If the basis for psychological intimacy is not quickly apparent to the Old soul, he will not put himself through much trouble to develop it. It is difficult for Old souls to weld unions with people that they have not been together with in numerous past lifetimes. Old souls are individualistic — they believe that people should basically do whatever they want to do, so long as it doesn't hurt anyone else.
The motto of the Old soul is, "You do what you want, and I'll do what I want". They rarely campaign for anything. They do not want to change the world — they just let it be. You might say they have the ultimate "laissez-faire" leave it alone attitude — let nature take its course and don't interfere with the system. They rarely organize into social clubs which have a hierarchical structure of leaders and followers or join organizations which promote some cause.
Rather, they form loose networks of friends and associates having common interests. Old souls are operating in a dimension of personality different from the previous ages: This puts them in a class by themselves since the Transcendental and Infinite souls only rarely manifest on the physical plane according to Michael explained in the following section.
And indeed, the Old soul is likely to sense his differentness. He may even think perhaps he does not belong on this planet. Old souls make up from 10 to 15 percent of the population. An Old soul contains some of each of the overleaf traits in his personality. Like a person with the Acceptance goal, the Old soul is very tolerant of the differences in others and seeks to unify them.
Like a person in the Power Mode, they are confident and assured of their abilities. Like a person in the Selfishness Feature, they are hedonistic in their desire to do what they want. Like Sages, they express wisdom to others. Like Idealists, they perceive the unity and beauty in the world. Like people in the Intellectual Center, they respond to situations by including them in their philosophical scheme. The Old soul is in the process of removing himself from entanglement with the usual affairs of life. He does not have a strong sense of attachment or kinship with the world such as is possessed by younger souls.
He wants to purge and purify himself of materialistic connections. His primary motivation becomes the pursuit of some specific life task, or perhaps spiritual refinement. Like the Baby soul, it is unusual for the Old soul to pursue a career as such. That is, he may have a long-term occupation, but it is not his main interest in life. Most often a job is taken which does not overly tax or challenge the Old soul. This leaves him with enough spare energy to pursue his real purposes, such as resolving karmic entanglements and pursuing truth and wisdom.
Old souls have very few psychological problems to deal with. Presumably, these have been worked through in previous lifetimes.
Their subconscious access to depths of experience means that there is very little they do not understand about what is going on, both out in the world and within themselves. But Old souls do have one significant problem, and that is that they are subject to psychological depression. All the soul ages can be, to some extent, but especially the Old soul. The reason for this is that, to them, life seems heavy and boring — "life is a drag". And no path is wrong. Hence the Old Soul motto: Old Souls become more relaxed, laid back and detached in life.
Human existence is familiar and manageable, and there are not so many problems or issues to deal with. The main issues, in fact, are existential rather than material or psychological. A potential pitfall for Old Souls is lapsing into apathy or complacency, no longer caring about life and the world. Doing their own thing, Old Souls end up pursuing nothing but their own path whilst allowing others to pursue theirs, just perfecting their own abilities, being themselves in life to the best that they can.
Many do so through artistic, humanitarian or philosophical endeavours, though for many others their greatest form of self-fulfillment can be something as mundane as gardening. Work, rest and play all become the same thing. Old Souls have a level of self-assurance that is unusual for souls in other stages. Old Souls tend to emanate a calm, steady quality that has substance, depth or gravitas. This is not the same as the cold stare of a psychopath! They are unafraid to look another in the eyes and see into their heart. Old souls who become famous tend to do so by virtue of their mastery, compassion, insight and wisdom rather than ambition.
Many of the finest minds in history have been old souls: In the arts we have the composer J. Bach , the painter Paul Gauguin , now apparently reincarnated as artist Peter Teekamp. Morgan Freeman is well known for the gravitas he brings to every role. There are seven levels to every stage of soul evolution, including this one. After completing the 7th level of the Mature Soul stage, the soul begins its next life as a 1st-level Old Soul.
This is the final step, step 35, in the 35 steps of reincarnation. This is not how it works. The goal of evolution is not to escape from the wretched physical plane, despite what many teach. Human existence is not a prison, or a wheel of torment, from which only the most worthy gain liberation.
We incarnate because we want to and we choose to. We keep doing it precisely because we want to come to terms with it. We know that in each life we will probably spend several decades not remembering who we are, not remembering our eternal Home, buying into the illusion of separation, experiencing fear.
This is the very stuff which inspires us to become more conscious. Completion occurs when it matters not whether you are incarnate or discarnate: Towards the end of his life, some of his students begged him not to die, not to leave them. He knew that both he and everybody else are already Home, and always will be, having never really left it.
So the last lifetime is one in which you are very content to be in physical form, using it as an opportunity to teach and enlighten others — or to simply enjoy being physical one last time. If you have issues with being physical, then you still have a way to go. The soul will unify its consciousness with soul mates who have also completed, and it may serve as an elder spirit guide to others still undergoing reincarnation. But there is no longer value to be had in incarnating as a human being.
The higher consciousness manifested through these individuals only in later life. In other words, avatars.
Again, the transformation did not occur until some point in adulthood. The Five Stages of Reincarnation.grafantabti.ml

Think of the 4 minute mile first run in I believe. Hey and what about Michael Jackson, he definitly have an old soul. I can even say it by looking in his eyes.. Michael Jackson has been channeled as 5th level Mature Soul, same as David Bowie, and myself as it happens. I think your evolvement can become a little higher during a single incarnation. I set up my lesson plan to block myself completely and have had to rely on many Mediums to communicate with the 5th Dimensdion spirit world.
My father bit off more than he could chew and was not a good role model and after remodeling will redo this lesson plan — My mother was is quite evolved and voluntered to come in and assist our families Guides in our achieving our lesson plans. And I still have 2 to 3 years left of this incarnation.
But complete Love is winning out! If a younger soul incurs a karmic debt against an older mature or old soul, the older soul will likely have forgiven that debt at the moment it was incurred. Is that debt simply erased or will the Universe exact payment in another way? Forgiveness will help raise consciousness in that moment and prevent the karmic exchange from escalating, but it does not alter the fact that one has experienced something intense and unexpected due to the choice of another.

It is these imposed experiences which, once created, are always returned to their creator through some future interaction. Now, if a young soul punches you in the nose, it may seem unlikely that as a mature or old soul you would ever have reason or desire to return the punch in a later life. However, for one thing, the physical action punch does not have to be exactly the same. Rather, it is the transfer of experience nose pain, shock, loss of dignity, whatever that must be of the same quality and intensity. Also, remember that during each life we begin at square one at birth , barely conscious, not bringing our full soul age into focus until aged 35 or so.
As a five year old, an Old Soul will act like a Baby Soul. By age ten, more like a Young Soul. By age twenty, like a Mature Soul. So there is ample opportunity in the context of childhood for any karmic experience to be returned to its original creator, even if it would seem utterly out of character in later life.
Stage 5: The Old Soul - Personality & Spirituality
And also, when the karma is due to be returned the two participants will have agreed to it in their pre-birth life plans, so in the heat of the moment they will both intuitively go along with it, as though in a trance, and the events will unfold with a sort of weird inevitability. After many proposed, sex is sex unless you love, i cried when at 19 when learning my 1st was expect, and said he is a boy which my biological grandpa will hold and parish to see the bloodline go on. When learning of my 2nd I said damn. I always wanted a girl, but he will be my Halloween baby.
He waited 2 weeks after due till Halloween and as we left to be induced her water broke. She has, and when I asked our Lord if I can take the weight of her sins I realized the angel I always dreamed of and gave everything to is a sociopath or psychopath and felt thankful and received although a month before I wrote whilesleeping you can come home or stay and hurt tremendously but use your gift to help others.
Someone wanted me to meet in an abandoned ally 2 days later, and the dreams keep coming awake and asleep. The word of the world is love, and I AM spread it through every reincarnation with a different parable everyone could understand. Why did it hurt to watch hate fueling the desire at 11 to journey and wear my use for all to see become a spiritual awakening about 3 months before the Pisces of my 33 to stall me so i have to suffer in humility while the purest evil mimicks emotions others believe. November i dreamed my wife died in 2 i get our boy i name meaning attached. If anyone knows anything about this crazy stuff please message.
Joe , I think we are going along the same path or journey.. I would like to speak with you if at all possible.. I hope our father feels our faith that his will be on earth as back at home. I just be maybe God show me something to say acknowledge me and ask. Why do people consider Dostoevsky to be a mature soul? The man had way too much wisdom to impart regarding the human condition to be merely mature I think. Eliot, Miles Davis and so on. This fragment is generally deeply intuitive and contemplative, and requires alone time to process data more often than other fragments. Public outpourings from the psyche are common at this level.
The stereotypical tortured artist is a mature soul, trying to reconcile the pursuit of inner truth and beauty with multiple other, often conflicting, demands, both internal and external. Painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, for example. Old souls are driven increasingly by nothing but their own passions and interests and pay little heed to other demands. Again, see the documentary Searching For Sugarman for a good example. Any soul age has access to great wisdom.
But a baby soul can be wise and a old soul foolish, depending on the circumstance. So to use your analogy of the Dalai Lama in Chicago: I would imagine that he would not be as easily distracted by the chaos. How everything you think makes 0 sense comes together and entangles with eachother and all of a sudden you just see how it is. I also love people so much regardless if they are a baby soul or old soul I feel like they are so special and amazing and I can learn from them just as much regardless of stage and level.
Mm, thank you very much for writing these articles, they help and heal more than you think. Even after a soul is completed with all stages of reincarnation. Is it free to have the choice to return to earth and reincarnate more? Yes, in a way — see: In an article by Shepherd Hoodwin a Michael channel on the Michaelteachings. The average number of previous grand cycles of those Michael students who have come to him for channeling is Jesus the essence present before the Infinite Soul took residence is said to have had 19 previous cycles.
These patterns are ingrained in ancient wounds that demand a second look. Consider children who are severely bullied or neglected. They do not feel safe trusting in another human being that could potentially harm them, yet they are later drawn to similarly dangerous people in adulthood because they have been programmed to seek out the familiar.
The emotional unavailability and toxicity of a partner can be inviting for them as adults, if only because it represents a form of psychological distance. Old souls learn the hard way, time and time again, that there is in fact great risk in investing in such a precarious and false sense of safety by engaging in the same types of relationships over and over again. With every leap they take to the comfort zone disguised as the unknown, they might still grow and learn new lessons. Only when they learn to choose themselves over inauthentic partnerships, however, will they truly be taking the risk that will reap the benefits of true intimacy.
They will find the sacred intimacy of knowing themselves. This belief, however, is disgracefully exploited by toxic people and should always be taken with a grain of salt when it comes to sacrificing your needs for emotional predators. It always bears repeating that you are a divine being and you are here to be cherished as such. Your current 9-to-5 job, while suitable and convenient, may not be what makes your heart skip a beat or your soul jumpstart into ecstasy.
Make space and time for your own talents, goals and dreams. Give back to the communities that have fostered your own growth and the causes that are a part of your life story. Even if you have no clue what that might be, start small by thinking about what makes your soul feel most alive. Chances are, your soul already knows deep down what that is.
Society might try to convince you to partner up as quickly as possible, to surround yourself with a plethora of friends and to self-medicate by constantly socializing. Learning how to enjoy being alone can be one of your greatest assets as a human being and a natural way to filter out toxic people from your life. Cherish quality over quantity; one good friend is more satisfying than several false ones. A career you love is far more enriching than one you have to force yourself to pursue just because of the title it offers. Life is simultaneously too short and far too long to be spending your time doing anything or being with anyone less than what genuinely nurtures you.
These are authentic parts of us that also happen to be socially acceptable. Maybe let your dark sense of humor come out to play or your coy sensuality take over for a decadent evening. These inner parts deserve just as much air to breathe. Your hidden desires always have a way of speaking through your choices, no matter how hard you try to repress or silence them.
What desires are being silenced? In what ways can you gently invite these parts in, without allowing them to steal the show and sabotage you? Your soul knows deep down that you are meant to be wealthy in every aspect — in relationships, in finances, in career success. Everyone defines abundance in different ways. You are so worthy of it all, even if your internal programming, childhood wounding and societal conditioning have convinced you otherwise. Society wants to feed you a limited version of what life can be because it is deeply terrified of people who not only go after their big dreams, but require no one else to depend on for their victories.
Small-minded people are also haunted by those who succeed in areas that they have yet to thrive in.
